Are you a nurse or other medical profession
thinking about traveling?
If you are, and you can, then you should.
There was a survey done a few years ago,
where they asked people, "If you could do anything, and
money was no object, what would you do?"
The majority of people answered "Travel".
When I first heard about travel nursing
from another nurse in my hospital I got really excited.
- Short term assignments - long enough
to see and experience everything in the area but short enough
not to get bored.
- Free furnished housing - no hassle to
find your own place and it's all paid for
- Travel Expenses paid - no money out of
pocket
- Health, Dental, and Life Insurance included
- Great!
But when I told my husband he laughed at
me. He called me nieve and said there was no way this was
true. "It's too good to be true" were his exact
words.
But I looked into it further, and we decided
to give it a try. Boy, are we glad we did!
Traveling has been the greatest experience.
We have seen and lived in areas we might not have been able
to otherwise.
My husband has always dreamed of driving
across the country. But with travel nursing we are driving
AROUND the country. We left Houston and went to LA. Then to
San Francisco, then to Vancouver. Then across the country
to New York. Then down the coast to Atlanta. Then back to
Houston. And from there we fly to Hawaii.
